Enjoying flowers...finally!

I'm so glad that the snow that fell last weekend has finally melted completely. It also looks as if most of our flowers have survived that downturn of temperatures. Brian planted a ton of spring flowers last fall and we all can't wait to watch them bloom. The crocuses are up and it is nice to see their petite bursts of color. Tam is even doing a good job at not running them over with his size 5.5 sneakers.

We've also started to see daffodil leaves, tulip leaves, and lily leaves...oooohhhh...the yard is going to look so beautiful soon.

Brian is also keeping an eye on a couple of pecan trees he planted. They aren't showing any new buds yet, but we are keeping our fingers crossed that they have survived the Michigan winter. Apparently, our state is out the northern limit of their tolerance range. Brian is excited that eventually he might pecan nuts to

eat.

We, of course, have had the wagon out and have taken it for walks around the block. Tam has become fairly masterful at opening the side-door of the wagon to get in and out. He has also figured out that the wagon has a cup holder and that is where his sippy cup fits. Yep, this wagon is a high-class rolling machine with double seating, seat belts, and a storage area under the seat! Much more high-tech than our old radio flyer that tipped over so often :-)

He's also been out in his swing...but he's getting a bit heavy for the poor narrow tree branch we have it hanging from. The tree bends more than a little ways when he's in it. Unfortunately, we don't have any other branches for the swing so kiddo might be out of luck. I only wish a playground was closer that we could walk to so that he can attempt slides as well.
