Hearts

All four of us were all lolling around on the bed after nap time.  Tam reaches out and pats Brian's chest.
Tam - "Where's your heart, Dad?"
Brian - "Right there, under your hand, Tam. Do you want to listen to it?"
Tam - "Oh. okay."

And Tamlin places his ear to Brian's heart to listen to it beating.

Brian - "Can you hear it beating? Is it going thump-thump, thump-thump?"
Tam - "Yeah, sure."

Brian then tosses his son on the bed and tickles him.  Much laughter from all of us.

Brian - "Let's listen to your heart now.  What do you think it sounds like?"
Tam (without pausing for a moment) - "It goes cars-cars, cars-cars."

Gotta love my little car-nutter of a boy.

Tamlin's latest artistic endevours

Finally, Tam has branched out from drawing just vehicles with wheels. 

Yep, he has started drawing people...and dinosaurs.  The orange paper below is his drawing of a boy which he did alongside of mine.  The yellow drawing started out as a person, but he then decided it was a dinosaur.  The triangle in the "head" is a tooth :-)  I loved watching him concentrate so hard on drawing good circles for heads and bodies.  His little tongue even stuck out!

 

We are also starting to attempt letters.  It is a little hard to see in this picture, but he followed the dots for his name, and then he attempted to write it on his own (under my writing near the top).  He then decorated with stamps and cars :-)
