Make Way for Ducklings

Tam's current book to sleep with is "Make Way for Ducklings." I remember reading this book for the first time in Plymouth, Massachusetts, at our Aunt and Uncle's house. This was really cool because the book takes place in Boston and we traveled there to see the same sights.

I think Tam likes the book for the cars :-) And he really likes to hear me rattle off the ducklings' names: Jack, Kack, Lack, Mack, Nack, Oack, Pack, and Quack. His attention-span is still short, so I only read one sentence per page, which gives him the abbreviated story.

I like sharing something from my childhood with my son. I know that someday we'll read the entire book from front to back, finding and naming the ducks on each page as we go.

Wordless Wednesday - Stacking blocks

Tam's becoming quite adept at building mega-block towers.













Of course, once all the blocks are stacked, Tam drives his cars all over it.

No washing!

Tamlin has always hating having his face and hands wiped after eating.

Usually, when he is done with the dish, he emphatically tells us "down" while pointing downward. We then wet a cloth and wipe his hands clean; then scrub the grub off of his face.

A few seconds of warm water on skin while he squeals in agony...sheesh.

Now Tam sees the cloth coming at him and the little bugger...

PUTS HIS HANDS OVER HIS FACE!

Now we have to pry off the hands to accomplish this task. And, as soon as one hand is clean and I grab the next one, the clean one is back over his messy face. Oh.
