I'm sitting here on a dreary Saturday afternoon watching Tam play with the Swiffer duster/mop. Yep. It's a broom and he is fascinated with it. The pole is light-weight so he keeps lifting it up and over his head, then dropping it again and what seems like a cool peaceful dance. He then played for awhile with the plastic ends, using this to drag the duster across the floor. Seeing this, I am totally think...free child labor to sweep my floors! Now, he's pushing it between the chairs of the dining room table and hearing it bang against the legs. Good job!. He fairly quiet, content, and amused with this simple kitchen item. It doesn't light-up, spin, talk, or anything and he loves it right now. By tomorrow he will have forgotten about the Swiffer...at least until I drag it out again for dusting the floors. And who knows WHEN that will be!
Just watching him play made me think of a marching band's flagline :-)
And now he's found a crinkly ball cat toy...and we are off on another adventure.
