Funny moment

I was rocking Jude and singing this afternoon. Tomorrow, Brian and I and several friends are singing during our church service and I was running through the music. Tamlin was, of course, playing cars around me.

He looks up and realizes I am singing. He then goes and gets our hymnal and brings it over to my lap.

"Truck song, mama. Sing truck song" says Tamlin

"Um, sorry, little man. There are no truck songs that I know of in the hymnal, " I reply.
Inwardly I am thinking that I don't really know God's stance on trucks and no gospel song writers have written much on the subject either...

Jude's latest trick

Jude has just started grasping toys in his hands, if they are placed there. This little rattle makes him smile when you help him shake it in his field of vision. Tam is very helpful with this game. He'll pick up a Jude toy and wave it really fast in front of his face. "Watch, Jude!" he shouts enthusiastically. Jude's eye gets big as he sees the movement and hears his brother's voice. Oh, brothers :-)

What's this?

As I was putting our cleaned Renaissance garb away, Tam found me and decided to have some fun. Daddy joined in for giggles too.

This is my hoop skirt, which Tam thought made a cool little tent. He laughed liked a madman when Daddy peeked in the top at him.

Then he tried walking around with the thing pulled over his head.

Tam: "Careful, mom, careful" "Whoa"



















What a silly boy. However, he did eventually relinquish the skirt. Instead, I put up a sheet on top of our dinning room chairs to create a car-tent. The sheet was thrifted just for this purpose and eventually I'll make it into a tepee.

Tam liked the tent. Drove his dump truck underneath it. Then ran his car over the top and plummeted them over the side.

At least this kept him amused for nearly the entire morning.
