Jude lately

Walking:
Not on his own yet, but really good at walking while holding on to furniture.  He'll also use the push toys, but hasn't figured out the push cars on his own, yet.  He does get around pretty quick crawling now;  More often he crawls with one knee down and one fit down in a half crouch form.  On an odd note, he has expressed total hate of the cold tile floor in the kitchen on his bare feet in the morning.

Talking:
Jude will say clearly "Hi" when waving, sometimes.  He has also begun to make distinct motor sounds when playing with the cars.  He'll babble Mamamama sometimes at me and Dadadada sometimes at Brian, but nothing to consistent yet.  But, he's making sounds and trying to engage with those around us.  He is also very good at voicing his displeasure in something, especially if a toy/food/object is taken away from him.  Oh the loud wailing and gnashing of teeth!  He'll even manage to squeeze out a few tears if he feels he has really been wronged.  Luckily, I'm pretty good at ignoring these outbursts, but Jude is fairly stubborn and can wail for awhile before realizing that it isn't helping his situation.

As to his attempts with sign language, Jude's got the "Milk" sign down.  Very recently, we have really trying to get him to do the "More" sign.  He is just starting to do this sporadically while eating and wanting more food.  We are working on the sign for food as well.

Favorite toys:
Airplanes and helicopters with spinning propellers are huge favorites of Judes right now.  He even "flies" these around in an imitation of Brian.  It is so cute to watch!
Books.  He loves books, especially the ones with lift the flaps or something to feel.  I am often amazed how long he'll sit in my lap and "read" a book.
His second favorite toys are anything that brother has at the moment.

Teeth:
Unlike with Tam, so far Jude tends to get a slight fever and refuses to eat much when he is cutting a tooth.  He has one half way emerged and a second just starting to peak through the gum.  These two our his lower front teeth.

Sleeping:
Jude is consistently taking two naps during the day (9:00am and 1:00pm) and going to bed around 6:30pm.  It is wonderful that his and Tam's afternoon naps have finally lined up with each other, and often Brian or I will nap at that time too.  Jude has gotten much better at going to sleep on his own, but still wants to cuddle every once in while.  Brian will give in to his cries for cuddling much quicker than I do...but I think Brian will likes to spend this little bit of quiet time with his youngest son.  Jude still sleeps with his stuffed monster, but he has started to prefer sleeping on his side or even his back.  Recall that with his reflux he HATED sleeping on his back all of last year.  I think we can now safely say that his reflux days are well behind us now.

Eating:
He has now completely switched to drinking whole milk instead of formula three times a day and drinking it from a sippy cup.  We started giving him watered juice too because it has been so hot.  Man o man, he loved juice...his little eyes just light up with delight we he tastes juice in his cup instead of milk.  He's eating three meals and has liked most foods we have introduced to him.  He would much rather feed himself than have us spoon something for him, which makes for very messy mealtimes.  However, when he's teething much of the food ends up on the floor instead of in his mouth because he keeps spitting it out.  Lately, Jude's favorite food has been peanut-butter and jelly sandwiches.
