Little sewings...

Gearing up to start Christmas sewing projects, which meant finishing a bit of repairs/ patches.

And...

Both boys asked for Power Ranger Shirts.

They narrowed it down to one type...

They wanted

Megaforce Red Power Ranger Shirts, specifically

 

With gold paint, stencils, and red shirts from our stash, 

the littles each got one of these :

They loved them.  LOVED THEM.

We had power ranger/ ninja moves all throughout the house for several days.

I am the cool mom.

Tamlin also asked for a #6 shirt with 6 tie-dye stars.  I had the brown shirt in the stash and pulled the tie-die material from an old knit baby blanket of Tamlin's.  I liked being able to grab something from his past to make something new that he can wear now.

Now...a month to make several Christmas Gifts!

Christmas shopping

Mini-brag...my Christmas shopping is nearly done by mid-November.  It helps that I love great deals and shop year round.  I can't wait for the holidays, starting with my oldest son's birthday :-)

Go ahead...hire me as your personal shopper!

Favorite Book

I picked this book out from the library this week.
It looked "fun."

It has become THE BOOK to read at bedtime...all week long.
Thank you, Brian.  I'm totatlly blaming you and your insane chicken bock-bock-a-bocking that has made this book crazy cool for the kids.


The book is very cool...the chickens do some amazing rescue attempts, like saving the lost sheep.

bock-a-bock-a-bock...

Jude likes it when the chickens rescue the cow from a tree.  He got there because of the high winds of a tormato (Jude's spelling). 

Tamlin likes the bock-a-bocking.

October artwork...

 A handful of Halloween artwork from the boys.  Tamlin has been very prolific at school :-)  I'm really digging all the handprint art he's been bringing home.
Jude has learned how to draw spiders in spider webs...which he has been very obsessed with for the past few weeks.

Happy Halloween Recap

 Halloween was Awesome :-)

Highlights:
- Kiddos LOVED their Ninja Butterfly costumes.  Others thought they were pretty cool too.
- YMCA Fun Festival = Rockin' good time.  Lots of Candy.  Lots of laughing.  Some scares.
- Trunk or Treat = Fun time.  Fun little games for kiddos.  S'mores.  Candy
- Carlisle Park Haunted Trail = Spooky good time.  Minimal candy/toys for games.  Haunted trail with some scares.  Fun ride on the train.  Dance party.
- Trick or Treat = 15 minutes door-to-door with Daddy.  Totally cashed in on candy even in this minimal time.  Lots of fun.  Next 45 minutes the boys helped to pass out candy at our house to other trick or treaters.
-  Halloween party at schools = Fun and lots of sugar.  Wild kids.  Lots of fun...lots of candy.
-  Treat box from Aunt Rosilyn and Aunt Carol = stickers, cookies, dot-to-dot books, and fun glasses.
Both boys totally rocked the glasses and loved doing the dot-to-dots...Jude's were a bit more random than Tamlin's.

 

Next year we want to go as the Avengers or the Justice League.
